Important Covid-19 Update!
Pastor Dale and I are so grateful for your faithfulness and heart for the Lord. We serve a wonderful and wise God who cares about us.
It has come to our attention that there were a few people who attended church on Sunday morning (4/28) that recently tested positive for Covid. In accordance with our “OCBC Church Gathering Procedures” that we put together for such an instance as this, we are working on getting in touch with anyone that may have been in close contact with this (these) individual (s). As a reminder, the CDC defines close contact as anyone that was within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more. Our goal is to have these notifications completed by the end of day Friday. If you learn you were in close contact with this (these) individual (s), we encourage you to either quarantine for 14 days per CDC recommendations, or get tested and receive a negative result prior to ending your quarantine.
Out of an abundance of caution and in an attempt to “live peaceably with all men” (Romans 12:18), the Pastoral staff has made the decision to move the church to online services for two weeks. Per our policy, we will be shifting our services to online only. The next in-person services will be held Sunday, May 16th.
- Our Men's Breakfast will be moved to May 15th.
- Ladies Banquet will be moved to May 22nd.
- Foundation 101 and those in Connect Classes will all remain online at 9:30a.
- Ladies Bible study will be canceled and restart on Saturday, May 15th.
- Men's Bible study will be canceled and restart the week after Men's Breakfast, May 22nd.
Mothers, in light of these circumstances, we will still be online for Mother's Day on May 9th, but we want you to know that we have a special gift waiting for you when we all return on May 16th. We hope to see you all then.
Office hours may look a little different over the next two weeks. If you cannot reach someone at the church, please contact Pastor Chris (925-785-7250) or Pastor Dale (814-934-7278) either by phone or email. We look forward to seeing you virtually this Sunday (5/2) for Connect Classes and our regular times of worship. Pastor Dale will be continuing his Sunday AM series in the book of Ruth.
Let's live up to our theme "Together" even during this time apart. I would encourage you to call someone and give them a word of encouragement. Maybe even use this time to get to know someone better (safely, of course) that you may not have spent much time with in the past.
Our God, in His omniscience, knew about this situation long before we did. We can rest in His will and His ways because He knows best. Psalm 46:10 reminds us to "Be still, and know that I am God".
We are praying for you.
